circa 1785, with 1 7/8in. iron multiple banded cannon-barrel rifled in six deep grooves, private proofs, border engraved squared boxlock action signed 'STONE' on the left and 'BRISTOL' on the right in scrolled banners, central ring-necked cock, shallow pan with borderline engraved frizzen, trigger guard bow safety, bulbous walnut butt inlaid with white metal wire scrolls and with undated Birmingham hallmarked grotesque mask butt-cap with maker's mark 'C.F.'
