A .41 (RIMFIRE) REMINGTON OVER-UNDER TYPE I LATE PRODUCTION (MODEL 2) DERRINGER VEST PISTOL, serial no. 2380,
circa 1868, with gilt washed 3in. barrels engraved with loose scrolls to the top-breech, gilt-washed open frame engraved en-suite, blued ancillaries, exposed hammer and spur trigger and smooth mother of pearl grips, in a later walnut case lined in red baize in the Continental manner
Provenance: This pistol was almost certainly enhanced post manufacture for the South American market
