24 1/2in. nitro reproved barrel with broad matt rib, engraved 'FOR CORDITE' at the breech end, open sights and two folding leaf sights with white metal sight lines and marked for 100, 200 and 300 yards with folding iron sights marked up to 1000 yards, ramped high-visibility bead fore-sight, magazine cut off, the bold shroud and detachable magazine engraved with game scenes of huntsmen, boar and hound inspired by scenes witnessed at Parc de Launay, figured pistolgrip stock with horn pistolgrip-cap and fore-end finial, sling eyes, 14 1/4in. pull including steel buttplate, buttplate with border engraving and a portrait of a wild boar on the trap
Provenance: The vendor informs us that he has hunted at Parc de Launay for several seasons with this rifle. The engraving pays tribute to the sport he enjoyed there and some of the scenes witnessed.
