A 25-BORE PERCUSSION SERVICE PISTOL SIGNED 'SUHL', MODEL 1856 CONVERSION, no visible serial number,
German, converted from flintlock, with re-browned twist 11 1/4in. barrel, applied fore-sight blade, standing notch rear-sight, the breech stamped '17' and the date '1856', plain flat military lock signed 'SUHL' over 'VCS', large polished nipple-guard safety, walnut full-stock with heavy polished iron furniture including substantial butt-cap with lanyard ring, trigger-guard bow with spur and fore-end cap with built in fore-sight protector wings
