30in. sleeved nitro reproved barrels (London proofed 1994), ribs engraved 'BOSS & CO. 73. ST. JAMES'S STREET. LONDON.', and gold-inlaid '1' and '2', 2 3/4in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 and 1/2 choke;
29in. unsigned new nitro chopperlump barrels (London proofed 1983), ribs gold-inlaid '1' and '2', 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. imp. cyl. and 1/4 choke;
actions with slender toplevers, gold-inlaid '1' and '2', automatic safeties with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' details, fences deeply carved in relief with holly and berry designs on a finely matted background, Boss 1894 patent three-pull single triggers with later improved selective design, patent no. 10949 of 13th May 1898, the right lockplates with selector slide and gold-inlaid 'L' and 'R' details, gold-inlaid cocking-indicators, action bars and furniture with best fine bouquet and scroll engraving, the lockplates with game scenes involving a covey of partridge and pointer with pheasant (No.1) and a nye of pheasant and hound in pursuit of a hare (No.2), 14 1/4in. highly-figured replacement stocks, No.2 fore-end with minor insert repairs, weight 6lb. 10oz. (sleeved) and 6lb. 14oz. (new), in their brass-cornered oak and leather case

Provenance: The makers have kindly informed us that this pair of shotguns were completed with single-triggers in July 1905 for J.A. Fisher.
