AD 1826', 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 and 3/4 choke, scroll-back action incorporating Edwin Smith self-opening system, patent no. 372035 of 19th March 1931, removable striker discs, automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, fences engraved with bold acanthus scrolls on a matted background, the action with beaded borders and fine acanthus scrollwork and floral bouquets, rolled-edge triggerguard engraved with a pointer, retaining some original colour-hardening and finish, 15 5/8in. stock including 2 1/2in. wooden extension, weight 6lb. 9oz.
