for 1888, with round blued 28in. barrel, the top marked 'COLT'S PT. F.A. MFG. CO. HARTFORD CT. U.S.A.' over patent dates to Feb 22nd 1887, 'rocky mountain' fore-sight, buckhorn rear-sight, plain blued receiver with integral dust-cover attached to the bolt, external hammer, walnut butt-stock with iron crescent heel-plate, chequered walnut pump handle and blued full-length magazine, much original finish remaining
