circa 1852, with blued 4 7/8in. barrel, the top-flat signed 'ADAMS', engraved borderlines and conical fore-sight at muzzle, standing notch rear-sight to top of standing breech, articulated loading lever to left hand side of barrel, two-piece screwed borderline engraved open frame, plain five-shot cylinder, spurless hammer with 'L' shaped exposed safety spring, double action only trigger and chequered walnut grips with iron straps and pommel, fair traces of original blued finish remaining
