the round two-stage 7 3/4in. swamped barrel circa 1710, moulded bands at the intersection and breech, double struck makers mark and signed 'I. AUSTIN', solid iron top-tang, radiused borderline engraved slightly curved period lock signed 'BLYTH (E?)' (lightly pitted), large sliding safe behind the hammer, bridle-less frizzen, possibly later walnut full-stock with brass furniture including grotesque lion-mask butt-cap with rear tail-spur, rococo escutcheon at wrist, pierced floral side-plate and turned ramrod pipes, original worm-ended ramrod
