circa 1780, with expertly rebrowned twist 33 1/2in. barrels, the breech-blocks inlet with twin gold bands oval gold poincons signed 'BASS', the underside of barrels with maker's marks 'T.F.' and signed 'LONDON', gold lined touch-holes, fully engraved top-tang, flat, slightly curved bevel-edged locks with stepped tails engraved with game-scenes, inlet oval gold poincons below the rainproof pans signed 'BASS', roller frizzens, engraved cocks, chequered walnut half-stock with raised cheek-piece, iron furniture including scrolled pistol-grip lower tang and oversize trigger-guard bow, moulded and engraved ramrod throat and brass tipped ebony ramrod
