A BROADSWORD WITH WALLONIAN-STYLE HILT,
European circa 1640, with 36 1/2in. straight double edged blade, blind fuller for the first third, the fullers further engraved with stars and 'ME FECIT SALINGEN' (sic), stylised Solingen running wolf mark forwards of the fuller to both sides, the left hand side of the blade struck with an armourer's stamp, the right with a 'P' below a crown, typical pierced iron double kidney hilt with integral thumb-ring (both pierced panels re-attached), wire bound wood grip (wire loose), 'D'-shaped knuckle-bow and bulbous iron pommel, the whole dirty and stained
