30in. nitro reproved barrels (in 2018), 5mm solid matt top-rib with a cartouche at the breech end engraved in script 'Beretta', side-ribs, 2 3/4in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 choke in both, hold-open toplever pierced with a rose design and gold-inlaid with a crown, automatic safety with integral barrel selector switch and gold-inlaid 'S' detail, rolled-edge triggerguard, the action and furniture finely engraved in high relief with scrolling acanthus and grape and vine designs on a finely matted background, the pinless hand-detachable lockplates with concealed flush release lever and finely engraved with game scenes of pheasant and English partridge in flight, the underside with a lone woodcock, the birds and some landscape detailing inset with polychromatic enamel, the triggerplate signed 'V. ZANETTI', the triggerguard with a blank oval, bright finish overall, 15 1/2in. highly-figured replacement stock with fluted carved drop points and including 1/2in. rubber recoil pad, slim beavertail fore-end with Deeley & Edge style release, fine scroll engraving to the metalwork and inset in gold and black enamel with the PB crest, weight 5lb. 10oz., in its lightweight leather case
