30in. nitro reproved barrels, the rib engraved 'HOLLAND & HOLLAND. 98. NEW BOND STREET. LONDON.', patches of light external pitting, 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. imp. cyl. and 1/2 choke, right wall at 18, patent gas checks, automatic safety, border engraving, retaining traces of renewed finish, 14 1/2in. stock cast and swept towards central vision, weight 6lb. 7oz.
Provenance: The makers have kindly confirmed that the gun was completed in 1899 for an E.H. Young (crossed out and replaced with 'R.L. Scott Esq. 1909') as a 12 bore hammerless No.3 model ejector gun, 30in. steel barrels, special rib'
