circa 1850-60, with octagonal 5in. barrel, bead fore-sight, engraved top-strap, Webley style 'wedge frame', replacement articulated rammer, plain five-shot cylinder with engraved band to leading edge, borderline and scroll engraved action, long spur to the hammer, chequered walnut grip with engraved back-strap and pommel cap, guarded trigger, the whole stripped of finish with some loss to sharp edges and engraved detail and together with its probable original manufacturer's walnut case lined and compartmented in green baize (one compartment lid cover replaced) and containing a brass mould, nipple key and cap-tin
