A .177 BARREL-COCKING AIR-RIFLE, MODEL 'MKII SERVICE', serial no. S15062,
late production circa 1938, with matching number blued 25 1/2in. barrel, ramp fore-sight (fitted with later BSA tunnel protector), elevating notch rear-sight, rotating bolt breech-lock, provision for a folding aperture sight at rear (absent, replaced with an example from a BSA match rifle screwed directly to wrist), blued air-chamber and trigger unit with make and model details, semi saw-handled chequered walnut butt-stock (loose, with a repaired crack at head), ribbed heel-plate and no provision for fore-end, strong amount of original blued finish remaining, 41 3/4in. overall, weight approximately 7lbs.
