with 6in. round barrel, with under barrel loading lever, two-piece hinged frame stamped on the right 'STARR ARMS CO. NEW YORK', and on the left 'STARR'S PATENT JAN. 15 1856', plain six shot cylinder, and one-piece walnut grips, action slightly at fault
Other Notes: Approx. 23,000 of these revolvers were made, mostly sold to the U.S. Government for Civil War issue, this appears to be an early example
