A 14-BORE PERCUSSION SPORTING GUN CONVERTED FROM PILL LOCK BY GALLYON OF CAMBRIDGE, CIRCA 1830, with 30 in. barrels the concave top rib faintly inscribed 'IMPROVED CENTRAL FIRE', foliate engraved locks with game scenes and makers name 'GALLYON CAMBRIDGE', foliate engraved hammers with modified from pill lock to percussion noses, half-stocked in walnut with chequered wrist and forend, fitted with foliate engraved iron mounts, complete with brass mounted loading rod, in its day a quality gun, stock worn, barrel and mounts patinated.
