circa 1860, with blued octagonal 6in. barrel, the top-strap signed 'DEANE & SON, LONDON BRIDGE', two-piece borderline engraved blued frame, plain blued cylinder, double action mechanism, chequered walnut saw-handled grip, colour hardened butt-cap with lanyard ring, guarded trigger and hinged under-barrel rammer, the pistol retaining much original finish and together with its maker's oak storage case lined and compartmented in dark red velvet and complete with a mould, flask, loading rod, nipple-key and cap-tin, all period but possibly added
