A 20-BORE FACILE-PRINCEPS EJECTOR, serial no. 53699,
for 1904, 28in. Greener trademark steel nitro reproved barrels (in 1960), wave-cut rib engraved 'W.W. GREENER 68. HAYMARKET LONDON. WORKS ST. MARY'S SQUARE. BIRMINGHAM', and with acanthus scroll detailing at the breech-end, 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. imp. cyl. and full choke, bolstered treble-grip action, fences with densely applied gilt arabesque scrolls, toplever engraved with a vignette of a rabbit, manual side safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail and engraved with a woodcock, bold acanthus scroll engraving interspersed with oak leaves and flowing wheat and surrounding game-scene vignettes of hound on point, and flushing ducks, the underside with a brace of partridge and woodcock in flight, the triggerguard with a hound retrieving a rabbit, 13 3/4in. replacement stock, splinter fore-end with Deeley & Edge release catch and horn finial, weight 5lb. 2oz., in a lightweight leather 'violin' case
