A .455 (AUTO) COLT 1911 BRITISH CONTRACT SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL, serial no. W102325,
for 1917-18, with 5in. barrel, blued slide with maker's details, patent dates to 1913 and calibre designation, blued frame with grip-safe, the left side marked with crossed flags below a broad arrow and a crown over 'G2' over 'A', chequered walnut grips with diamond shaped panels around the fixing screws, smooth mainspring housing and correct magazine, both with lanyard loops, retaining much original factory finish throughout
