circa 1852, with octagonal 7 5/8in. barrel, the narrowed top-flat signed from the top-strap 'DEANE ADAMS & DEANE (MAKERS TO HRH PRINCE ALBERT) 30 KING WILLIAM ST.T LONDON BRIDGE', dove-tailed fore-sight, standing notch rear-sight, scroll engraving to breech sides, plain cylinder, borderline and scroll engraved solid frame, spur-less hammer, guarded trigger and flared chequered walnut grip (rubbed smooth), no provision for ramrod, the whole cleaned and refinished with some loss to engraved detail shallow pitting throughout, cylinder arbor retaining spring replaced
