circa 1884, with octagonal 5 1/2in. barrel, raised sighting rib signed 'JUNIOR A & N.S.L. LONDON', and marked above the cylinder release thumb-wheel 'PRYSE'S PATENT' and 'THE ORIGINAL', the left side of barrel mount marked 'CARTRIDGE BRAND above a depiction of a bullet in turn above 'REG 181', the same side of frame engraved 'FIRST QUALITY', the opposite 'PATENT 1075' within a diamond border, break open frame with auto-ejecting six-shot fluted cylinder, twin Pryse locking bars, exposed hammer, guarded trigger with roller-tipped trip, chequered walnut semi saw-backed grip, shallow domed heel-plate and fair traces of blued finish, in a full-flap leather service-holster (distressed)
