fences carved in relief with oak leaf and acorn motifs against a matt background, removable striker discs, toplevers gold-inlaid '1', '2' and '3', automatic safeties with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' details, rolled-edge triggerguards, border and acanthus scroll engraving with floral bouquets, the sideplates with scrolling banners engraved 'F. BEESLEY. AMERSHAM. LONDON.' around a coronet, retaining traces of original colour-hardening and finish, 13 3/4in. figured stocks (No.1 a replacement, all cast towards central vision), weight 6lb. 9oz.
