early first series circa 1908, with two 9 1/2in. rifled barrels (the .22 example later), moulded fore-sight, dove-tailed rear-sight (possibly so modified), smooth hard-rubber grips embossed with the 'WR' monogram, air cylinder stamped 'WESTLEY RICHARDS "HIGHEST POSSIBLE" AIR PISTOL' on three lines, frame with patent number and date, guarded trigger blade, the whole retaining fair traces of original finish,
Provenance: This Highest Possible is one of the few solid frame first model guns known. Most first models have the more common cut-out frame and the London address
