dated 1961, 28 3/8in. (72cm) lined nitro barrels with raised tapered file cut rib, the tubes engraved 'Manufacture D'armes de Luxe Masquelier - Liege. Bruxelles. Charleroi', 2 3/4in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 and 1/2 choke, treble-grip action with hidden third bite and removable striker discs, the toplever pierced with acanthus scrolls, manual safety with gold-inlaid 'S' detail, partially gold-washed internals, gold-washed triggers, the front articulated, the action, lockplates and furniture profusely engraved with scrolling acanthus and floral designs, the fences carved in high relief with leaf and berry motifs, the triggerguard gold-inlaid 'CM', bright finish overall, 15 1/4in. well-figured stock (small crack and repair at hand), weight 6lb. 12oz.
