dated for 1865, with 30 1/2in. ordnance proved barrel, flip open breech with solid thumb-piece, plain lock with date and signature, walnut full-stock, blued iron furniture including two barrel-bands and jag-ended clearing rod
Provenance: The vendor of this lot informs us that it was previously in the Small Arms School collection at Warminster where it was described as an 'experimental 5-groove sergeant's rifle with fast twist'
