with blued finish, 5in. barrel, the left side of slide with the model and calibre, the right simply 'COLT'S GOVERNMENT MODEL', shallow crescent fore-sight, dove-tailed notch rear-sight, blued frame with spurred hammer, grip safe, arched mainspring housing and ribbed trigger-blade, chequered walnut factory grips with 'COLT' medallions (one grip-screw absent) and Colt trademarked magazine, much finish throughout
