circa 1795, with 3 3/4in. round turn-off barrel starred at the muzzle for a key (absent), triangular form bayonet below the barrel released by the trigger guard bow, London proofs to breech, squared boxlock action with central cock (sliding safe absent from top-tang) and engraved with swags bordering 'KETLAND & CO' on the left face and 'LONDON' on the right, slab-sided walnut grip and iron trigger guard bow
