S.W.', and gold-inlaid '2' at the breech end, 2 3/4in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 and 1/2 choke, action with arcaded fences, removable striker discs, toplever gold-inlaid '2', automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, gold-inlaid cocking-indicators, fine acanthus scroll engraving, retaining virtually full renewed colour-hardening and finish, 14 3/4in. highly-figured replacement stock with diamond grip, matching fore-end wood, weight 6lb. 13oz.
Other Notes: The vendor kindly informs us that the gun was refurbished and rebarrelled to the current very high standard by David Dryhurst in 1987 and that it has seen little use since. The makers records have it as a border engraved gun, so the full scroll engraving is likely to have been executed at the time of refurbishment.
