circa 1860, with browned damascus 30in. barrel signed 'J. BLANCH & SON 29 GRACECHURCH STREET LONDON', bead fore-sight, short sighting rib at breech, standing breech with twin carved fences and scroll engraved long top-tang, border and scroll engraved back-action lock signed 'J. BLANCH & SON', walnut butt-stock with chequered wrist, double bite Jones-style swing under-lever, blued and engraved furniture and chequered walnut splinter fore-end, much colour remaining to parts (possibly renewed) and complete with its probable original leather storage case lined and compartmented in red baize and with parchment trade label to inside lid
