A 28-BORE BOXLOCK EJECTOR, serial no. M470290,
28in. nitro barrels (Italian proofed for 2002) with tapered file cut rib, 2 3/4in. chambers, bored approx. 1/2 and 3/4 choke, hold-open toplever, automatic safety, Ithaca grade 4 style engraving with foliate designs surrounding scenes of duck, woodcock and pheasant, the underside with an oval with 'ITHACA CLASSIC DOUBLES VICTOR N.Y.' stippled over, retaining some colour-hardening and finish, 15 1/4in. pistolgrip stock including 1/2in. rubber recoil pad, beavertail fore-end, weight 6lb. 5oz.
Other Notes: Some of the Ithaca Classic Double guns were assembled in the USA from parts manufactured in Italy. This relationship was not without its troubles and some parts were rejected by ICD. It has been indicated that these can be identified by the ICD details being crossed out or overstamped.
