LAWRENCE PAT. APRIL 12TH 1859', the body of the lock marked 'C. SHARPS PAT. OCT. 5TH 1852', straight hand walnut butt-stock, no provision for patchbox, iron heel-plate, under-lever opening, saddle-ring mounted to left hand side of the receiver, walnut splinter fore-end (losses in antiquity to both upper edges) and single iron barrel-band
