THE STOCK, ACTION AND FORE-END ONLY OF AN UNUSUAL KRIEGHOFF 'NEPTUN' TRIPLE-LOCK SIDELOCK EJECTOR DRILLING, serial no. 11038, circa 1929, original 12-bore shot barrels having been sleeved and the rifle barrel mostly removed, treble-grip action with carved serpentine fences and side-clips, manual side lever safety with 'SICHER' detail, cocking-indicators, triple lockwork, with sidelocks operating the top barrels and barrel cocking (at fault), the third lock mounted on a detachable triggerplate with sidelever cocking lever (lever cut), set front trigger, profusely engraved with bold stylised acanthus scrollwork on a matt background, surrounding and invading woodland scenes of grazing roe and red deer, the underside with the makers name and model designation, the triggerguard relief engraved with the initials 'C.A.B.', 14 1/4in. figured pistolgrip stock with steel and horn pistolgrip-cap (swivels to initiate release of triggerplate), engraved steel ammunition trap and including 1in. recoil pad
