with heavy damascus twist 28in. sighted barrels, the top rib signed 'JOHN BLISSETT, 322 HIGH HOLBORN, LONDON', bar action locks fitted with bolt safeties, and the edges decorated with an attractive rope pattern, the makers name 'JOHN BLISSETT' engraved to centre, iron mounted walnut half stock with chequered wrist and fore-end, border engraved iron mounts, the trigger-guard tang bearing the makers number '4055', circular patchbox inset into right butt and still containing some original greased patches, complete with original brass mounted ebony rammer held in place by a strong spring mounted between the two rammer pipes, some old damage to stock mainly around the right lock and to the chequering on the right wrist, fading brown to barrels
