circa 1946, 29in. nitro reproved chopperlump barrels (wall thicknesses all below recommended minimum), rib engraving worn illegible, the breech ends gold-inlaid '1' and '2', 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. 1/2 choke in all, toplevers gold-inlaid '1' and '2', automatic safeties with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, removable striker discs, cocking-indicators, rolled-edge triggerguards, best fine bouquet and scroll engraving, 15 1/4in. figured stocks, No.1 a replacement, No.2 original and including 3/4in. wooden extension, fore-end woods worn and chipped, weight 6lb. 6oz. (No.1) 6lb. 7oz. (No.2), in their makers brass-cornered oak and leather guncase
