for 1982, 26in. nitro chopperlump barrels (London proof dated 1985) with matt Churchill-rib, the tubes engraved 'J. PURDEY & SONS. AUDLEY HOUSE. SOUTH AUDLEY STREET. LONDON. ENGLAND.', 2 3/4in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 and 1/2 choke, self-opening action with side-clips, removable striker discs, automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, cocking-indicators, fine acanthus scroll engraving with floral bouquets, retaining much original colour-hardening and finish, 14 1/2in. figured stock, weight 5lb. 9oz., in its lightweight leather case with second fore-end wood and some Purdey paperwork.
