WILLIAM EVANS 12-BORE BOXLOCK EJECTOR, serial no. 10434, for 1911, 28in. nitro barrels (some pitting, bore measurements marginal), the rib engraved 'WILLIAM EVANS. (FROM PURDEY'S) 63, PALL MALL, ST. JAMES'S, LONDON.' (refreshed), and with acanthus scroll detailing at the breech-end, 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. true cyl. and 1/2 choke, treble-grip action, removable striker discs, intercepting sears, automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, acanthus scroll engraving, brushed and reblued finish overall, 14 1/2in. figured stock including leather covered recoil pad, weight 6lb. 7oz., in a brass-cornered leather guncase, the lid exterior embossed 'C. VESEY. 18TH HUSSARS'
