for 1852, with 7 3/8in. octagonal barrel, applied dove-tailed white-metal shallow blade fore-sight, single line 'ADDRESS SAML COLT NEW YORK CITY' signature, screwed repair to cylinder arbor behind wedge, plain six-shot cylinder scrubbed of scene (with matching number), open iron frame marked 'COLTS PATENT', brass grip-straps, small trigger guard and smooth walnut grip, refinished with some mild pitting and bruises, together with a possible original walnut storage case relined in antiquity with coarse green canvas, reproduction instruction label inside lid and a suite of reproduction accessories
