third model circa 1856, with 4 1/2in. octagonal barrel with engraved band at muzzle, and scroll engraving to both sides of barrel throat, dove-tailed beaded blade fore-sight, shallow notch rear-sight to top of standing breech, borderline and scroll engraved top-strap, borderline and scroll engraved frame, borderline engraved five-shot cylinder with rope-twist band to leading edge, spur-less hammer, inverted 'Y' shaped safe spring, Tranter's patent trigger cocking mechanism, chequered walnut semi saw-handled butt and borderline and scroll engraved rammer, the whole with an older London refinish finish and in its maker's walnut case lined and compartmented in green velvet and including a Tranter's Patent mould, ebony loading rod, nipple key, turn-screw and cap and lubricating tins
