circa 1925, 30in. nitro reproved barrels (in 1999), rib engraved 'ROWLAND WATSON. 17. WHITTALL STREET. BIRMINGHAM.', 2 3/4in. chambers, bored approx. 1/2 and 3/4 choke, wall thicknesses below recommended minimum, slight dent, scroll-backed treble-grip action with Westley Richards toplever, automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, bold acanthus scrollwork set against a matt background surrounding vignettes of pheasant and partridge, the triggerguard with a hound on point, toplever with a partridge, retaining traces of original colour-hardening and finish, 14 1/2in. figured stock including 3/8in. extension, weight 6lb. 4oz., in an R.K. Stevens brass-cornered oak and leather guncase with reproduction Rowland Watson trade label, some accessories and internal protective flap
