A 48-BORE PERCUSSION WEBLEY LONGSPUR REVOLVER, serial no. 1018XX,
circa 1856, with 6 3/4in. octagonal barrel (refinished), dove-tailed blade fore-sight, sighting notch to the hammer nose, replacement Kerr style rammer, barrel retained via a wing-nut, plain five-shot cylinder with engraved borderline to leading edge, open iron frame, the side-plate signed within a banner 'WEBLEY'S PATENT' (rubbed, near illegible), long straight hammer spur, iron grip-straps, the backstrap marked 'BY HER MAJESTY'S ROYAL LETTER PATENT' (all rubbed, serial number erased and crudely re-applied to toe of front-strap), chequered walnut grips, trigger guard bow lightly deformed, the whole darkly stained
