A 12-BORE ROTARY-UNDERLEVER HAMMERGUN, serial no. 395,
converted from muzzle loading circa 1865, 29 5/8in. black powder only bold twist barrels, the rib engraved 'A. HENRY EDINBURGH', 2 1/2in. chambers, bored true cyl. in both, Jones patent rotary-underlever, carved serpentine fences, rebounding back-action locks with dolphin hammers, extractor engraved 'PATENT NO. 395', the action flats engraved No. 395, bold acanthus scroll engraving with beaded and feathered bordering, the rear of the lockplates with oval vignettes of pointer and spaniel, 13 7/8in. figured stock with border engraved steel heel and toe plates, fore-end with crosspin release and horn finial, weight 6lb. 14oz.
