circa 1843/44, with 30 1/8in. brushed bright iron barrel, block fore-sight, standing notch rear-sight, London proofs at breech, borderline engraved bar-action lock stamped with the E.I.C. 'Rampant Lion' trademark forwards of the hammer, walnut three-quarter stock with brass furniture, farsi markings to the heel-plate spur and the variant trigger-guard (tang cracked at front screw), two iron barrel keys, Hannover bayonet catch to nose-cap, iron ramrod (numbered 13) with flared tip and squared shaft behind the head and iron swivels
