A 20-BORE SINGLE-BARRELLED ROTARY-UNDERLEVER HAMMERGUN, serial no. 2370,
circa 1875, 30in. nitro reproved bold damascus barrel (in 1972), raised solid file cut top-rib with a banner engraved 'ADSETT. CANTERBURY', 2 1/2in. chamber, bored approx. 1/2 choke, Jones patent rotary underlever, carved percussion fence, rebounding back-action lock with a scrolling banner engraved 'ADSETT. CANTERBURY' in gothic script, brushed bright and reblued finish overall (some surface patination), 14in. stock including horn buttplate, weight 4lb. 5oz.
