Birmingham Ordnance marked steel barrel, rifled with five grooves, fitted with bayonet lug at muzzle, barleycorn front-sight and ladder rear-sight, the breech with positive bolt locking Mk III action, the lock stamped with the Crown E.I.G. cypher on the tail and 'B.S.A. & M.Co / 1876', to the centre, regulation iron mounted full walnut stock, complete with sling swivels and replacement rod
