converted from flintlock, with 28 1/4in. unsigned barrels, the top-rib of elevated form, the underside of barrels with a 'C.L.' maker's mark for Charles Lancaster, moulded breech-blocks with rear-facing nipples, flat borderline and scroll engraved locks signed 'I. VICARS' and fitted with engraved slab-sided hammers of pill-lock form, walnut half-stock chequered at the wrist, iron furniture and provision for ramrod (rod absent)
