circa 1810, with octagonal to sixteen-sided to round 31in. brass-lined rifled barrel (liner possibly originally detaching, now frozen), girdle at the intersection, dove-tailed fore-sight (lacking blade) the later rear-sight with standing notch and two additional folding leaves, blanked of location for original rear-sight, gold poincon at breech signed 'WALLIS, HULL', fully engraved tang inhabited with trophies, flat bevel-edged lock engraved with borders and a stand of arms with a further 'WALLIS, HULL' inlaid poincon, engraved and pierced cock, stepped tail to lock with further engraved trophy, walnut half-stock with finely chequered wrist, engraved iron furniture (rubbed), single set trigger, under-rib with two iron thimbles and a brass throat, replacement iron ramrod, brass mounted copper spherical air-reservoir below the fore-end with double central ribbed grip-band
