for 1906 & 1907, 30in. nitro reproved barrels (both in 1964), the ribs engraved 'WESTLEY RICHARDS. 178 NEW BOND ST. LONDON. GUN MAKERS BY SPECIAL APPOINTMENT TO HIS MAJESTY KING EDWARD VII.', (No.2 faint), and gold-inlaid '1' and '2' at the breech-ends, 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 and 3/4 choke in both, (No.1 left wall at 18, No.2 right wall at 18), plain scroll-backed treble-grip actions incorporating A.E. Lard patent single selective triggers, patent no. 3952 of February 2nd 1899, use numbers 395 and 1246, J. Deeley and L.B. Taylor patent hand-detachable locks, patent no. 17731 of 28th July 1897, use numbers 748 and 1590, Westley Richards improved patent toplever, patent no. 1572 of 14th June 1871, standing breeches engraved 'WESTLEY RICHARDS. PATENT ONE TRIGGER', the toplevers gold-inlaid '1' and '2', automatic safeties with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' details, actions gold-inlaid 'WESTLEY RICHARDS.', No.1 with detachable floorplate, No.2 with hinged floorplate, retaining very slight traces of colour-hardening and finish, 13 7/8in. figured stocks including buttplates, fore-ends with Deeley & Edge release catches gold-inlaid '1' and '2', and with horn finials, weight 6lb. 7oz., in a brass-cornered leather guncase with reproduction trade label
