circa 1863, with London proved round 35in. barrel, block and blade fore-sight, elevating ladder rear-sight, shaped flat-topped receiver signed 'LEETCH'S PATENT COMP'Y, 29 GREAT PORTLAND ST. LONDON W.' to the top with swing out reverse loading breech-block operating on an articulated chequered bolt (traces of colour), plain back-action lock signed 'LEETCH'S PATENT COMPANY', plain side hammer, walnut military-style full-stock, iron furniture including pistol-grip spurred tang trigger-guard, three iron barrel-bands and jag-ended iron under-barrel clearing rod
Provenance: All Leetch Patent firearms are rare, with the carbines, whilst still uncommon, being the most frequently seen. The full length rifle such as the example here only exist in tiny numbers in collections worldwide
