circa 1895, 29 1/8in. nitro reproved bold damascus barrels, wave cut rib, the tubes engraved 'E. ANSON. EGYPTIAN HALL. BIRMINGHAM', 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. imp. cyl. and 1/2 choke, treble-grip action with carved serpentine fences, variant top tang mounted lever grip safety and no slide safety, E.G. Anson patent 3789 of 21st February 1893, the action flat marked 'ANSON PATENT', border and acanthus scroll engraving, retaining some renewed colour-hardening, 15in. figured stock including 1in. recoil pad (original horn buttplate accompanies the Lot), weight 6lb. 11oz.
